Issue #1: Turning Personal Tragedy into Hope

Hello and welcome to our very first newsletter. We promise that this digital resource won't be just another lazy read that clogs up your inbox. Our hope is that you'll find incredible insights that focus on mental health and wellness.

Our venture is to provide valuable awareness into becoming more resilient. Why resiliency you might ask? Because all of us need to be more resilient. Whether that resiliency is needed at work, in our relationship, or within our family; we believe you'll benefit by having the tools available to become more vigilant.

Whether you’re a leader overseeing a team, or a healthcare HR manager, resiliency can be a guiding light to the latest data, tools, and information that helps keep you informed on all your wellness decisions. We're here to arm you with the latest tools and information so that you can improve your health and your clients' health.

Recently, we've noticed a stark decay in self care. On LinkedIn alone, you will find thousands of people out of work. With the main complaint being that their mental health is crashing. At Healthtek, we are gamifying technology to improve health outcomes that intuitively increases mental health levels, hope, and paths to service.

This episode of the newsletter we dedicate to the virtues of hope. Today, we will venture into how people we admire have faced life's adversities and sought to rise from them by sharing their hope for the future with us all.

Grab your favorite device, find a comfy spot, and get ready to be inspired and entertained. Welcome to your monthly dose of creativity, with a little bit of digital magic. Let's dive in!

Yours Truly,
Yon Hardisty

The LIVIN Foundation

is Turning Personal Tragedy into Hope

All within the LIVIN executive team have faced loss. Loss that they sought to work with together. A togetherness that lead them to start the LIVIN Foundation, a non-profit organization with a vision to help those who have experienced suicide and are seeking support amongst peers.

The problem as they see it, is that there are missing links within the mental health system which contains a highly fragmented support network that varies state-to-state. Those struggling with tragedy or mental health issues get lost in the system and many have a difficult time navigating the cumbersome resources. Far too many resources are focused on mental health therapists versus holistic incorporation of certified peer support, focus and community groups as options.

Here are some of the people that LIVIN has talked to...

And this is just a small sampling. Which is why Kaitlin Daeges, Executive Director at the LIVIN Foundation is so passionate when it comes to intersecting these occurrences. Kaitlin stated, "When individuals seek support from LIVIN Foundation, they're often seeking fresh approaches to mental health. Through our innovative peer-to-peer support and the Hope technology platform, we offer new and refreshing avenues for assistance, providing hope for brighter days ahead."

“LIVIN With Hope" offers a compassionate, human touch, bridging individuals to essential resources, support, and tools.

The LIVIN With Hope service operates around the clock and seamlessly connects your members with carefully selected, real-world providers across the United States of America.

Tips

Peer-to-Peer Communications

Technology is changing. Kids and even adults are using new platforms to communicate and it's important that health resources are moving to where they hang out. One spot is a peer-to-peer support solution tailor-made through the Discord web interface.

Peer-to-peer solutions, like Discord, represent the future of health services by fostering communities where members support each other. These platforms eliminate technical obstacles, allowing users to easily initiate conversations from their desktop or mobile devices.

Forestr.org

Forestr.org is a non-profit empowering communities to build hyper-local programs dedicated to cleaning, greening, and gleaning of private and public spaces.

We caught up with founder, Nimone Li, on why she started this clean, green, and gleaning organization. Nimone wanted to make a real difference in his area so she worked with local leadership to focus on sustainable action.

Nimone said, "It's almost spiritual for me to green the neighborhoods we all live in. At Forestr.org, we're gathering local volunteers of all ages to clean, greenm and glean along roadways, host events, grow seedlings and community gardens everywhere."

Check them out or become a sponsor in your area.

See you next week!

March 2026 Yon Hardisty Issue #21: Being Better Together View on the web → Leaning Out to Be In I want to be honest with you about something. Lately, my wife and I talk at length about how the world feels unsteady right now. I think you feel it too. Whether it's the news cycle, the economic pressure, the general sense that things are shifting faster than we can process them, there's a lot pulling people inward. A lot of reasons to close the door, pull down the shades, and just try to get...

February 2026 Yon Hardisty Issue #20: Humans Helping Humans View on the web → Intentional Thriving In a year of all things artificial intelligence, we nod our hat to the advancements in truly remarkable technology. Knowing that this new innovation is advancing faster than anyone could have imagined, we can't stop thinking about how we got here, and who got us here. Humans. Humans are still at the core of innovation. Humans helping humans is still the best way to create empathy, connection,...

January 2026 Yon Hardisty Issue #19: Get Ready, Get Set, and Reset? View on the web → The January Reset That Actually Matters Let's be honest—you made it to 2026, but the journey here wasn't exactly smooth. Between political whiplash that has half the country celebrating and the other half bracing for impact, economic uncertainty that's making everyone second-guess their next purchase, and workplace burnout that's turned "quiet quitting" into a lifestyle rather than a trend, it's no wonder...
